PlayOne Privacy Policy
PlayOne Game Companionship (hereinafter referred to as the "Service") is developed and operated by PalKai Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company"). To support the protection of personal data and privacy, the Company has established the "PlayOne Privacy Policy" (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") to help you understand the categories, purposes, and methods of personal data collection, processing, and use by the Service, as well as the rights you are entitled to exercise under the law.
Please carefully read this Policy. By logging into the Service and registering a member account, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to accept all the content of this Policy. You also agree that the Company, within the scope permitted by law, may allow its affiliates or partners to use your personal data to provide other services (including but not limited to integration with LangLive, developed and operated by ShineRay Co., Ltd.). Furthermore, you agree that the Company may create member statistical data based on your personal information. As long as such statistical data does not reveal any member's identity, you agree and authorize the Company to use it for any legitimate public use. The Company reserves the right to amend and update this Policy. If there are amendments or updates to this Policy, you will not be notified individually. You can review the latest version of the terms on the Company’s website or within the Service app. If you do not agree with the updated content, please stop using the Service. If you continue using the Service after the updates, you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to the revised terms.
This Policy applies only to the Service. The Service, its app, or website may contain links to websites and information from other service providers or advertisers. The privacy policies of such linked websites and the data protection practices of the respective service providers or advertisers do not fall within the scope of this Policy. Please refer to the privacy policies of the respective linked websites.
1. Obligation to Notify Regarding the Collection of Personal Data
1.1 Categories and Methods of Personal Data Collection
(1) Collection of Personal Data:
(a) When you register, log in, or use this service, you may need to provide the following personal information: including but not limited to your name, date of birth, national identification number, characteristics (including but not limited to portrait or voice), contact information (including but not limited to phone number, email address, or residential address), financial information, social activities (including but not limited to live streaming or voice streaming content, recharge or reward records, etc.), or other data that can directly or indirectly identify you. You also agree that the Company may collect relevant personal information you provide to the Company, including but not limited to your account name, email address, and phone number. If the personal information you provide is reported or found by the Company to be insufficient to verify your true identity or suspected of being misused, stolen, or falsified, the Company has the right to temporarily suspend the services provided to you. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
(b) When you register as a member of this service through other websites or services (hereinafter referred to as "Third-Party Websites"), you agree that the Company may collect your identity verification information and other data visible on or accessible through your Third-Party Website account, including but not limited to your name, profile picture, country, email address, date of birth, gender, names of friends, their profile pictures, and social networks. The Company may need to verify whether your data matches the information on the Third-Party Website and/or use such data in accordance with this policy.
(2) Anonymous Data: When you browse the Service’s content, the Company will retain relevant records collected by the server or generated by the system during your browsing or queries, including:
(a) Usage Records: When you send or receive messages through this service, the Company collects information about these messages, including but not limited to the time, date, sender, and recipient. The Company also collects information about your use of the service, including but not limited to your browser type, accounts you have communicated with, language, usage duration, and IP address.
(b) Device Information: The Company collects information about the devices you use to access this service, including but not limited to device type, operating system and version, device identifiers, phone numbers, and mobile network information. Additionally, with your consent, this service may access your device’s contact list and image storage applications to support features while you use the service.
(c) Location Information: When you enable device location functionality and use services provided by the Company based on your location, the Company collects information about your device’s location to support features while you use the service.
(d) Data Tracking: The Company uses various data tracking technologies to collect information to help improve the service and enhance your user experience.
(3) Cookies:
This service uses Cookies to enable the service website servers to recognize records related to your computer. Cookies are used to associate your personal data only when you agree to remain logged in or after each login. Most browsers are set to accept Cookies by default; however, you can choose to refuse Cookies. You can adjust the Cookie settings in your browser to one of three options: accept all Cookies, be notified when Cookies are set, or reject all Cookies. It is recommended that you enable Cookies when engaging in online shopping or using paid services to complete the purchase process.
1.2 Purposes of Collecting Personal Data:
(1) General Purposes:
(a) Service provision, marketing, promotion, identity verification, customer service, security prevention, community engagement, notification of policy updates, program assistance, fraud monitoring, and point storage purposes, including but not limited to explanations of applicable age levels, category attributes, rule descriptions, operational methods of the service, updates, promotions, or other activity notifications, to ensure the safety and integrity of products and services provided by the Company.
(b) Conducting internal statistical analysis as a basis for improving services and meeting market demands in the future.
(c) Enhancing the Company's understanding of how you access and use the Service, thereby enabling targeted responses to your personalized needs, including but not limited to language settings, location settings, and personalized instruction services.
(2) Third-Party Services or Product Provision:
To provide more diverse service content (including but not limited to integration with LangLive and other affiliated companies or partners of the Company) and the services or benefits you request, this Service may need to share your personal data with affiliated companies or partners, including third parties providing such services or benefits (whether located in Taiwan or abroad, including but not limited to LangLive).
(3) Advertisers and Links:
The Company may provide your personal data to advertisers displaying advertisements on this Service or to websites or services linked to or associated with this Service (whether located in Taiwan or abroad, including but not limited to LangLive and other affiliated companies or partners of the Company). This is for purposes such as consumer and customer management and services, business and technical information, advertising and commercial activity management, surveys, statistical and research analysis, marketing, trade promotion, and management. These advertisers or website operators have their individual privacy protection policies, and their data handling practices are not governed by this Policy. The Company assumes no legal responsibility for the activities of these advertisers or website operators.
1.3 The Company will only use the personal data you provide for the specific purposes outlined when collected, except in the following circumstances:
(1) Upon requests made by police, prosecutors, judicial, tax authorities, or other authorized agencies in accordance with legal procedures.
(2) With your consent for other purposes.
(3) Other situations compliant with relevant personal data protection regulations.
(4) For related use when reported by a third party, or when the Company believes you may have violated the terms of this Service.
1.4 Duration, Area, Targets, and Methods of Using Personal Data:
(1) Your personal data will be utilized by the Company, its affiliates, and/or partners (including but not limited to LangLive) during the duration of the stated purposes of collection and for the period necessary for these entities to perform related operations. This utilization may occur within regions accessible via the internet, using reasonable and lawful methods, whether automated or non-automated.
(2) You agree that the Company may transmit, utilize, and process your personal data in Taiwan or any other locations where the Company operates its own or outsourced data processing centers.
2. Inquiry, Access, Copies, Supplementation, Correction, Suspension of Collection/Processing/Use, and Deletion of Personal Data
2.1 For the personal data you have provided to the Company, you may contact the Company's customer service (support@baulong.com) to exercise the following rights (provided that the Company may refuse your request in accordance with applicable legal regulations):
(1) Request to inquire or review, for which the Company may charge an administrative fee of NT$100 per request.
(2) Request to provide a copy, for which the Company may charge an administrative fee of NT$100 per request.
(3) Request to supplement or correct the information.
(4) Request to cease the collection, processing, or utilization of the information.
(5) Request to delete the information.
2.2 When making the above requests, the Company may require identity verification to ensure the security of your account.
2.3 You have the freedom to choose whether to provide your personal information to the Company. However, if you provide incomplete or false information, withhold information, or request the Company to cease the collection, processing, utilization, or deletion of your personal information, it may result in the Company, third-party service providers, or product providers being unable to continue providing services (including but not limited to LangLive or other affiliated companies or partners of the Company). In such cases, the Company may cease providing services to you.
2.4 If you wish to delete an account created via Facebook, please navigate to your Facebook profile and click on Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites page to perform this action.
(1) Log in to your application using the "Facebook Login" feature.
(2) Navigate to the Apps and Websites settings tab in your Facebook profile: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications
(3) Remove your application.
(4) Click on the Removed Apps tab, then select your application.
(5) Click Send Request.
If you have any questions or requests regarding exercising the above rights, you can contact the Company at support@baulong.com. The Company will respond promptly with clarification.
3. Email and Push Notification Settings
3.1 After you register and obtain your consent, the Company will send commercial materials or emails to you. The Company will clearly indicate that the materials or emails are sent by the Company and provide methods, instructions, or links for you to unsubscribe from receiving them at any time.
3.2 The Company will send push notifications or system reminders to your device. You can change the notification settings in your device’s settings (iOS) or through the app’s notification settings (Android).
4. Miscellaneous
4.1 Linked websites in the Service may collect your personal information. The personal information you voluntarily provide to such linked websites is subject to the privacy policies of those websites. The Company is not responsible for any liability associated with those linked websites.
4.2 Personal data you voluntarily provide to third parties outside the Service is not covered by this Policy. The Company advises you to avoid disclosing private or confidential information (including but not limited to credit card information, bank account information, ID numbers, passport numbers, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, non-public phone numbers, or email addresses) through the Service. Any personal or confidential information you disclose while interacting with third parties or other users online is at your own risk, and the Company is not responsible for any resulting damages.
4.3 Please understand that due to technological limitations and potential malicious actions, it is impossible to guarantee 100% security of information even with the best possible security measures in the internet services industry. You should be aware that when accessing the Service, issues outside the Company’s control may arise (including but not limited to hacker attacks). Therefore, you should take proactive measures to safeguard your personal information, such as regularly changing your password and refraining from sharing your account credentials and other personal information with others. You acknowledge that the Company’s data protection measures apply only to the Service. Once you leave the Service and access other websites, services, or resources, the Company is not responsible for and has no obligation to protect any personal information you submit on external websites, regardless of whether you accessed or viewed those websites via links or guidance from the Service.
4.4 Push Notifications: The Company may send push notifications or system alerts to your device. You can modify the notification settings in your device settings (iOS) or through the app settings (Android).
